GREENVILLE—Pitt Community College’s Curshenia Wilson recently volunteered at the Pitt County Council on Aging (PCCA) to help organize a fun holiday activity for senior citizens.

On Dec. 1, Wilson, who is Pitt’s Food and Nutrition Services Employment & Training Education Navigator, teamed with PCCA Programming Director Cyndi Shimer and retired Pitt County law enforcement officer Regina Randolph to host a “Paint & Tea-Sipping Party.”

The event gave seniors a chance to create their own Christmas canvases to add to their holiday décor. Each participant was able to choose a custom holiday canvas on which to paint their designs.

“It was exciting to see their creativity come alive on canvas,” Wilson said. “It was a day filled with fun, joy and laughter.”

Located on County Home Road, the Pitt County Council on Aging, Inc., is a licensed non-profit agency committed to improving the quality of life for older Americans through advocacy, services, life enrichment activities and friendship.
