WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College Career Services partnered with Vidant Health Oct. 3 to host a ‘meet-and-greet’ on campus for students interested in information technology (IT) volunteer positions.

According to Shakeena White, PCC Director of Academic Advising & Career Services, Vidant Health recruiters interviewed 17 PCC students during the 2 1/2-hour event. She said those who are hired will fill IT volunteer positions with Vidant Health’s Go-Live Incident Forum Call Center.

“Students hired into the positions will have opportunities to network with IT professionals at Vidant Health,” White said. “They will also gain relevant experience for their resumes.”

In addition to interviews, White said the Vidant representatives shared information with students about the regional health care system in general and the many career opportunities it has to offer.
