WINTERVILLE—Registration for summer and fall classes at Pitt Community College starts April 9 for currently-enrolled students and will begin for all students later in the week.

According to PCC Registrar Angela Cline, students taking courses at Pitt this spring can begin signing up online for the summer and fall semesters at 8 a.m. Monday, during their assigned priority window. Registration priority is determined by credit hours completed, she said, adding that a breakdown of registration dates and times is available on the “Registration” page of the PCC website, along with a self-registration guide.

Cline said all students – current, returning and new transfers – may begin registering for summer and fall classes on Thursday, either online or with academic advisors. She noted that new, first-time freshmen must meet with an admissions counselor and attend a New Student Orientation (NSO) session before they will be permitted to register.

Students who register for the summer semester, which begins May 17, must pay for their courses by 5 p.m. on May 10 to prevent their schedules from being deleted. The payment deadline for those signing up for fall classes is 5 p.m. on Aug. 6.

Cline said that starting April 9, the college’s Student Development Services Division, which includes admissions counseling, financial aid and the Registrar’s Office, will offer extended hours on Mondays. On those days, she said, the division will serve students from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
