Public Invited to Attend Women’s Resource Fair

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Women’s Resource Center is sponsoring a Women’s Resource Fair next month for students, employees and members of the community.

Set for Oct. 9, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Craig F. Goess Student Center’s Davenport Multipurpose Room. There is no cost to attend.

Vendors expected to participate include the Pitt County Coalition on Substance Abuse, REAL Crisis Center, Pitt County AIDS Service Organization, Port Health Services, and the Pitt County Health Department. Representatives from PCC Counseling Services and the college’s TRiO Programs will also be on hand.

During the fair, students from PCC’s cosmetology program will offer attendees free nail polishes and up-do demonstrations. The fair will also feature free snacks, a cupcake walk and raffle prizes.
