Pitt Partnering with NC Works on Restaurant Hiring Event

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Office of Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement is teaming with NC Works on Monday to host an event that will help area restaurants find qualified workers.
The program will take place on PCC’s main campus in the Craig F. Goess Student Center’s Davenport Multipurpose Room, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to Pitt students, it is open to members of the general public. Attendees are asked to bring resumes to the event.
“The main goal of this event is to support our local restaurants and their efforts to identify and hire prospective employees seeking jobs in the areas of food services and hospitality,” said Ernis Lee, PCC Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement.
Restaurants scheduled to participate in the hiring event include the following: Jimmy John’s, Sam Jones BBQ, Villedge, Chick-fil-A, Red Lobster, The Breakfast Bar, Sonic, Basil’s, Marabella Old World Pizza, Dairy Queen, Simply Natural Creamery, Luna Pizza Café, GK Café and Catering, Parker’s Barbecue and Logan’s Roadhouse.
In the interest of health safety, participants will be required to wear facial masks at all times inside the Goess Student Center.
