PCC Foundation Gearing Up for Largest Annual Fundraiser

The doors to the Greenville Convention Center will open for the 2023 Down East Holiday Show Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. with a special, adult-only shopping night, meaning no children, strollers, wagons or carts.

WINTERVILLE—Tickets are on sale now for the Pitt Community College Foundation’s 22nd Annual Down East Holiday Show, which will take place Nov. 2-5 at the Greenville Convention Center.

Organizers say the event will feature more than 186 vendors, including 34 who will be participating in the show for the first time. They’ll be selling a variety of products, including clothing, accessories, jewelry, home décor, crafts, wines and foods.

This year’s Holiday Show begins with an adult-only shopping night (no children, strollers, wagons or carts) that runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets for the special Thursday event are $15.

Friday’s show hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday’s show opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Doors are open Sunday, from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. Tickets for each of those three days are $10 per person and may be purchased at the door or online. Children 10 and under will be admitted at no charge, as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Santa Claus will visit this year’s Holiday Show Friday (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.), Saturday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.). Parents are encouraged to bring their children to see Old Saint Nick and have a camera handy to commemorate the visit.

Since it was first held in 2002, the Down East Holiday Show has grown to become the PCC Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser. Including the $144,000 raised through the 2022 event, the Holiday Show has generated more than $1.6 million for student scholarships and educational activities at Pitt.

The latest details on this year’s show are available on the Down East Holiday Show website, Facebook and Instagram.
