N.C. Department of Adult Correction Hiring Event Open to Public

WINTERVILLE—The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (NCDAC) has scheduled a hiring event at Pitt Community College this month for students, alumni and members of the community.
The program will take place March 7 in the Craig F. Goess Student Center’s Davenport Multipurpose Room, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free, and pre-registration is not required.
NCDAC offers sign-on bonuses ranging from $7,000 to $10,000 and currently has employment openings in a variety of career fields at locations throughout the state, including multiple full-time positions in Pitt and Greene counties. The jobs cover a variety of career fields, including corrections, health care, maintenance and trades, and probation/parole.
The specific positions NCDAC is hoping to fill through next week’s hiring event include correctional officers, correctional food service officers, probation/parole officers, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, health care technicians, electricians, electronics technicians, HVAC mechanics, plumbers and maintenance/construction technicians.
