GREENVILLE—The Pitt Community College Small Business Center (SBC) held a free “Lunch-n-Learn” seminar June 20 to provide small business owners with tips on how they can take advantage of email marketing.

Titled “The Power of the Inbox,” the program was held at the PCC Greenville Center and featured Melanie Diehl, a Constant Contact authorized local expert and social media consultant, as guest speaker. Since 2009, Diehl has been helping small businesses, non-profits, professionals, chambers of commerce and others establish a solid online presence and tell their stories through social media and email marketing.

As part of her PCC presentation, Diehl explained to entrepreneurs and small business owners why regular email doesn’t work and why list-building tools and email design elements do. Her presentation also covered insider tips and techniques and explained why email marketing is the most effective type of marketing for small businesses to use.

PCC’s Small Business Center holds free “Lunch-n-Learn” sessions each month to help current and prospective entrepreneurs take their small businesses to the next level. A full listing of upcoming SBC events at Pitt is available on the N.C. Small Business Center Network website.
