Course on Raising Teens Canceled Due to Low Enrollment

Farmville Center

WINTERVILLE—A free course on raising teenagers in a social media-driven world has been canceled due to low enrollment.

The six-hour personal enrichment class, titled “Raising a Teen: An Owner’s Manual,” was scheduled to begin this evening in Farmville through a partnership between Pitt Community College and Pitt County Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). The course was intended to help parents of Pitt County Schools teenagers understand issues that teens are facing and how to talk to them about making good decisions. Topics were to include ‘juuling,’ underage drinking, bullying, and other high-risk behaviors.

To receive a copy of the information that was to have been distributed during the class, contact PCC’s Lisa Webb at (252) 493-7317 or lwebb@email.pittcc.edu.
