EVENT: Mayne Pharma Scholars Program Parent/Student Information Session
LOCATION: Craig F. Goess Student Center’s Davenport Multipurpose Room
TIME: April 30, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
DETAILS: Open to all PCC and Pitt County high school students and their parents. Dinner will be provided by Jersey Mike’s. The Mayne Pharma Scholars Program features a full, two-year scholarship ($8,000 total per student) for students seeking an associate degree in biotechnology. Eight students will be selected each year. PCC’s biotechnology degree program is a laboratory-intensive program that trains students to be lab analysts in the pharmaceutical industry. Scholars will have an opportunity for a paid, full-time internship at Mayne-Pharma during the summer between their first and second year of college and a part-time, paid internship during their second year. Current high school seniors and current PCC students with an aptitude for science are encouraged to apply.
