Eight-Week Classes Get Underway Oct. 13

Fall colors brighten the Pitt Community College campus as students near the end of the semester.

WINTERVILLE—The final round of late-start classes at Pitt Community College this fall gets underway Oct. 13, giving prospective students one last opportunity to enroll in curriculum courses.

The eight-week classes run until Dec. 15. Because they are eight weeks shorter than classes that began at the start of the semester, they require an extra measure of self-motivation and commitment for success.

Course selection varies from “Critical Thinking” and “Keyboarding” to “Writing and Inquiry” and “Music Appreciation.” Some are specific to associate degree curricula, while others can be transferred to many of North Carolina’s public and private four-year institutions.

New students must complete a PCC admissions application and submit copies of their official high school transcripts to the college’s registrar. Current students may register from an approved Student Education Plan or by contacting their academic advisors.

More details on late-start classes are available by visiting the “Late-Start Classes” page of the PCC website.
