Real Estate Course Schedule

All real estate classes will be delivered in an online format until in-person classes can be held again. Registration is available online. Students MUST have an ability to be seen by the instructor for the entire synchronous classroom time. Registered students will receive instructions on how to access the classroom prior to the start date of the class. Course Descriptions

Real Estate Prelicensing

This course is required to satisfy the educational requirements for a provisional broker and is designed to prepare you to pass the real estate license examination administered by the NC Real Estate Commission. Topics include basic real estate principles and practices, law and contracts, financing, closing valuation, fair housing and real estate laws. Book is required and can be purchased at the PCC Bookstore for approximately $50. Instructor: Jim Weese or Rick Eason. 80 hours. Cost $185

Real Estate BICUP

This 4 hour mandatory course is required by all Brokers-in-Charge in order to maintain your eligibility each license year. Instructor: Jim Weese. 4 hours. Cost: $45

Real Estate Update

This 4 hour mandatory course satisfies the continuing education requirement required by the NC Real Estate Commission. Instructor: Jim Weese. 4 hours. Cost: $45

Real Estate Elective

This 4 hour mandatory course satisfies the continuing education requirement required by the NC Real Estate Commission. Instructor: Jim Weese. 4 hours. Cost: $45

Real Estate Postlicensing NC Laws, Rules & Legal Concepts

Are you a provisional broker? This course is one of the three mandatory post licensing courses that must be completed by newly licensed NC provisional brokers. Topics addressed in this course include general NC licensing requirements, the disciplinary process, broker compensation issues, specialized types of real estate, property management in NC and miscellaneous NC laws and legal concepts. Instructors: Jim Weese and Carolyn Lyne. 30 hours. Cost $185

Real Estate Postlicensing Contracts and Closings

Are you a provisional broker? This course is one of the three mandatory post licensing courses that must be completed by newly licensed NC provisional brokers. Topics addressed in this course include selected basic contract law concepts, real estate sales contract preparation, sales contract procedures, buyer’s due diligence, closing procedures, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, closing disclosure preparation, contracts for deed, options, and selected real estate license status and education issues. Instructor: Carolyn Lyne. 30 hours. Cost $185

Real Estate Postlicensing Broker Relationships and Responsibilities

Are you a provisional broker? This course is one of the three mandatory post licensing courses that must be completed by newly licensed NC provisional brokers. Topics addressed in this course include a review of agency relationships in real estate residential and commercial sales and commercial property management transactions, a real estate broker’s legal duties to clients and customers, a step-by-step review and discussion of the functions and responsibilities of a real estate broker when working with sellers and buyers, a review of issues associated with transactions in progress when a broker leaves a firm, and a review of selected license status and education issues. Instructor: Carolyn Wyne. 30 hours. Cost $185
