The Emerald City Big Band is a vibrant collaboration between the college and the community, uniting over 20 talented musicians including students and more advanced players. Our band welcomes those from all walks of life and skill levels, blending the wisdom of seasoned pros with the energy of rising stars. The result? A dynamic musical experience that’s as enriching for the players as it is for the audience.
From classic big band hits of the ’30s and ’40s from performers like Glenn Miller to today’s chart-toppers like Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” our repertoire has something for everyone. You may have seen us at Greenville’s Sunday in the Park Series, Children’s Miracle Network events, or even at Minor League Baseball games. Our annual Christmas Concert is a holiday favorite, drawing in hundreds of music lovers each year.
