Fire Rescue Training

Save Lives and Property: Begin Your Fire Rescue Training Today

For those wishing to begin an exciting and rewarding career in the fire service, the Pitt Community College Fire and Rescue Training program offers a wide range of certification classes designed to meet the needs of firefighters, fire inspectors, and other fire rescue professionals.

Firefighters extinguish fires and respond to emergency situations where life, property, or the environment is at risk. Duties may include work as a fire inspector, fire prevention, emergency medical service, hazardous material response, search and rescue, emergency management, and disaster assistance

Fire and Rescue Continuing Education

Training doesn’t stop when class ends. We continue training for all Emergency services personnel to keep up with current OSFM certification to better assist our community.

We also offer nighttime Fire Academies for individuals who need an alternative to daytime academies. You will earn the same certifications with a slightly different educational experience.
