Course Description

BioWork Certificate Program

Gain the basic skills and general knowledge needed to begin a career as a Process Technician for a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing company. A process technician operates, monitors, and controls the production process; receives, transports, and stores materials; collects and analyzes materials used in production; inspects and maintains the production equipment and control systems; keeps critical records on the process and product; and maintains company safety, health, and environmental standards. This hybrid course will also cover all aspects of the job search process, resume preparation, and interviewing practice. Lecture and assignments will be online; labs will be hands-on and in person one night per week. Prerequisites: High school diploma or equivalent, National Career Readiness Certificate completion. 153 hours. $180; required manual $99. Scholarship funding is available to cover all program costs.
