This certification focuses on developing personnel to conduct process improvement for manufacturing and administrative processes through waste elimination and variation control. We will cover the basic principles of Lean manufacturing and Six-Sigma that allow substantial wasted effort to be eliminated from processes and provide a statistical understanding of data. This provides a bedrock for process improvement initiatives in businesses. Using hands-on exercises, you will learn how to identify classical wastes that creep into any process and how to eliminate them. We will also explore Lean Six-sigma tools like throughput improvement, waste reduction, work-place organization, continuous improvement, statistical thinking and Poke Yoke (mistake proofing). This training program is intended to provide entry-level industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. You will learn how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards in an industry setting. We will cover a variety of industry safety and health hazards that a worker may face while in a factory setting.
