Community Invited to Attend Annual PCC Veterans Salute

WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College will pay tribute to current and former members of the nation’s military Nov. 9 with an on-campus ceremony that is free and open to the public.
This year’s PCC Veterans Salute is scheduled to take place on the front steps of the Vernon E. White Building at 10 a.m. In the event of rain, it will be held in the Charles Coburn Center, which is located within the Ed & Joan Warren Building.
In addition to PCC President Lawrence Rouse’s message of gratitude to everyone who has served the nation militarily in times of war and peace, the ceremony will feature a prayer by Pitt’s Ken Peel, who serves as an advisor to the college’s Student Veterans Association. PCC’s Michael Stephenson will provide music.
This year’s Veterans Salute will be Pitt’s 25th. All have taken place on the college’s main campus, except in 2020, when PCC held a virtual event due to COVID-19.
