Athletics
In addition to preparing students for success through academic endeavors, Pitt Community College features an intercollegiate athletics department that is committed to educating and empowering student-athletics for success in life, higher education and the workforce by emphasizing teamwork, character and sportsmanship.
Pitt Community College fields intercollegiate athletic teams in Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Softball and Court Volleyball that compete in Region Ten of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Pitt Community College believes that athletic participation is a privilege and seeks to provide an environment. Student-athletes not only represent themselves and their families, they represent Pitt Community College and we strive for each student-athlete to embrace the responsibility that role entails and carry that label with pride and dignity.
Pitt Community College athletes must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Department of Athletics and its coaching staff and are subject to all rules governing the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Region Ten in which we participate. Student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average, which meets or exceeds the NJCAA requirements for participation as well as guidelines set forth by the Athletic Department and Pitt Community College. PCC Athletics is committed to providing the best opportunities for our student-athletes that will allow individual growth and team success as well as create opportunities.

Baseball
Started in 1995, Pitt CC’s baseball program has emerged as a perennial national contender that consistently produces a number of student-athletes that have continued their baseball careers at four-year institutions and professionally. The Bulldogs made their first National Tournament appearance in 2018-2019.
Softball
Pitt CC’s softball program has flourished on the diamond since its inception in the early 2000’s. In addition to producing numerous All Region performers, Pitt CC’s softball program is also known for producing NJCAA Academic All-Americans. The program has recorded several Region Championships to go along with five National Tournament appearances, including back-to-back runs in 2010-2011 and 2017-18.
Volleyball
