TASC’s Writing Center is dedicated to guiding students through their writing assignments to help them experience academic and personal success.
Who are we?
Our trained writing consultants come from a variety of backgrounds, including current and former PCC students and ECU students.
Locations and Hours
As of March 23, 2020, the Writing Center has shifted tutoring appointments to online. We are no longer offering walk-in hours, and students are strongly discouraged from dropping by T-21. We are trying to limit the number of people in our centers to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Paper Review Service
With the Writing Center’s paper review service, you can submit your writing assignment to the Writing Center, and one of our tutors will look at it, respond with helpful feedback, and email your draft back to you within 24 hours if the paper is received Monday to Thursday. Papers submitted Friday to Sunday will receive feedback on Monday.
There are several ways you can make an appointment:
- Fill out the Tutoring Request form (MyPittCC login required)
- E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
- Call 252-493-7768
Virtual Walk-In Hours
We are also offering virtual walk-in hours using Google Hangouts. For more information on virtual walk-in hours, click here.
How can we help you?
Students visit us at various stages of completing assignments, and we are dedicated to helping you work through your writing assignments.
During your session, we can:
- talk through the directions to help you get started
- work on brainstorming ideas
- organize your ideas
- revise your content
