Learning and Success Center (LSC)

The Learning and Success Center (LSC) supports students in becoming better writers and learners by providing FREE quality tutoring services to ensure student success at Pitt Community College.

LSC offers both in-person and online tutoring in a variety of subjects, including science, math, English, French, Spanish and many more.

To request an in-person or online appointment, please fill out the online Tutoring Request Form. Appointments are available from 9 am – 6 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 9 am – 3 pm on Friday.

Services & Resources

The Academic Skills Lab (ASL) seeks to partner with instructors to provide academic support to PCC curriculum students experiencing academic difficulty or to develop computer skills. We offer an open computer lab on PCC’s main campus.

Open Lab Hours
Monday – Thursday: 9AM – 6PM
Friday: 9AM – 3PM

With the LSC’s paper review service, you can submit your writing assignment to the LSC, and one of our tutors will look at it, respond with helpful feedback, and email your draft back to you within 48 hours if the paper is received Monday to Thursday. Papers submitted Friday to Sunday will receive feedback on Monday.

We also offer after-hours online tutoring through Tutor.com, which can be accessed through Moodle. PCC students have 24/7 access to Tutor.com for online tutoring.

To access Tutor.com, click on the Tutor.com link in your Moodle course. This link is usually located on the first page of the course. If you are having trouble locating the link, please contact your instructor.

Students are encouraged to reach out to the Learning and Success Center during operating hours (8 AM – 6PM) for academic support or any questions regarding Tutor.com.
