Career Services is the place to help connect your student to resources and offer career related assistance such as college major exploration and career planning. We are committed to helping your student while he or she is attending Pitt Community College as well as after graduation.

Career Services Tip

Career planning is a continuous process with many steps that include:

1. Self-assessment
2. Researching majors/careers
3. Analyzing and evaluating information
4. Reflecting and deciding
5. Taking action

Remember: This process may not always move in a direct and straightforward path. Some students may repeat steps as they discover more about themselves, their potential major, and career options. As a parent or family member, your words of encouragement and guidance can help them stay on track to reach their goals.

Career Services welcomes you to be a partner and supporter in your student’s journey. It does not matter where the student is in the Career Planning process; we have the tools and resources to help.

All we ask is that you encourage your student to visit our office and view our website, taking advantage of the variety of services, programs, and resources offered to help them reach their career goals.
