During an event to showcase PCC’s newly-renovated health sciences facilities in November 2018, Tavondia Burdett, Pitt’s new nursing program director, uses a high-tech patient simulator to show President Lawrence Rouse how to check a person’s pulse rate. The renovation project included a new simulation hospital that allowed the college to increase the number of students accepted into the nursing program. This fall, PCC is training 273 nursing students.
