WINTERVILLE—Area jobseekers will have an opportunity to explore career, training and employment opportunities when the Better Skills, Better Jobs Fair returns to the Greenville Convention Center on Oct. 1.

More than 110 eastern North Carolina employers and community organizations are expected to participate in the sixth annual event, which will bring businesses, industries, training providers and workforce resources together in one location.

The fair will be open to adult jobseekers from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Representatives from a variety of fields will be available to discuss employment opportunities, including advanced manufacturing, construction, education, financial services, health care and public service.

Some companies will conduct interviews during the fair, so jobseekers are encouraged to dress appropriately for the careers they are pursuing. Attendees also can take advantage of free professional interview attire through the Dress for Success Mobile Boutique, free professional portrait photos for resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and resume assistance and interview coaching beginning at 1 p.m.

Last year’s fair attracted more than 1,000 jobseekers, and organizers encourage those seeking their next career opportunity to attend this year’s event with a polished resume.

Adult jobseekers can register on-site the day of the event. More information is available on the Pitt Community College website.
