Visiting Students (formerly known Special Credit Students)
Visiting Students are defined as the following:
- Students who cannot decide which certificate, diploma, or degree to pursue at Pitt Community College and need further career counseling before making a decision. Note: Students who wish to transfer to a four-year college or university, but are undecided as to an academic major, should enroll in the Associate of Arts program at Pitt Community College.
- Students visiting Pitt Community College only planning to take a few courses (students intending to transfer to a four year institution are not visiting students or special credit).
- Students who have already completed a degree and are seeking only a few courses (students seeking a second degree are not visiting students or special credit).
- Students taking courses for personal enrichment purposes only and are not seeking a certificate, diploma, or degree.
*NOTE: Financial Aid students cannot be declared as Visiting Students or Special Credit Students; in order to receive aid, they must enroll in a program.
