Starting the journey into higher education can sometimes be a challenge. We are delighted to assist you with any questions about gaining admission, securing financial aid, and getting connected for enrollment.

Important: Please Read Before Applying for Admission

All applicants (except for Career and College Promise applicants) must complete a Residency Determination request to determine their tuition status (in-state or out-of-state) prior to completing and submitting an Admissions application. Applying to PCC: Residency Status

 

Here is a list of information that may be required to submit your Residency Determination. Please have this information on hand prior to starting this process.


Step 1

Fill Out Your PCC Admissions Application – Including N.C. Residency.

Click below to visit the CFNC website and complete the PCC admissions application.

COMPLETE YOUR PCC ADMISSIONS APPLICATION


Step 2

Submit High School Transcript or GED (Plus College Transcripts if Transferring From Another College).

Official transcripts are utilized for course placement and will be evaluated at the point of admission. Students who wish to receive transfer credit for courses completed at other institutions prior to admission must submit official transcripts from the institutions granting the credit.


Step 3

Complete FAFSA To Apply for Financial Aid at  https://studentaid.gov/  (Recommended)


Step 4

Attend New Student Orientation (Recommended)


Note to all new applicants:

All new applicants seeking a degree at Pitt Community College must choose an academic degree, certification, or diploma on our application. If you are unsure of the most appropriate one for you, please click here to view information on all PCC options. (If you are a visiting student, select “Special Credit” on the application and be aware that you are NOT eligible for financial aid.)

NOTE:  If you have applied to PCC within the past 12 months, you do NOT need to reapply. Instead, contact your academic advisor to register.
