Tutoring
One-on-one virtual tutoring sessions with a TRiO tutor are available by appointment. There is also 24-hour tutoring through Tutor Me, a contracted service made available exclusively for TRiO students here at PCC. Both services can be accessed through the TRiO Moodle course, also made available for TRiO students.
Individual Academic Plan
The Individual Academic plan provides a snapshot of the student’s progress toward their academic goals. Developed in a collaborative process with the TRiO Counselor, it serves as a blueprint for academic and career pathways. The Individual Academic Plan is completed each semester. Virtual appointments are available with the counselor.
Career Assessment & Advising
Career Assessment and Advising are an integral part of services provided to TRiO students. Through mutual respect, effective communication, and shared responsibility, students are provided with guidance and support to attain their academic, professional, and personal goals. Career assessments are offered to help students identify their strengths and ultimately decide on a career. Virtual appointments are available with the counselor.
Transfer Planning & Campus Tours
Transfer Planning ensures that students are taking college transfer courses needed to transfer to a four-year college or university. Students are also provided with information on admissions, financial aid, and the transfer process. Virtual college campus tours are also available.
Financial Literacy Assistance
TRiO offers a variety of services and workshops designed to promote financial wellness, including budget management and student loan debt management. Assistance with completing the FAFSA and scholarship applications are available to students.
