International Education Travel Scholarship (IETS)

The IETS is designed to provide financial assistance to help off-set the costs of travel (not including passport, visa fees, spending money, or meals not included in program costs) for students participating in PCC approved Education Abroad programs.

PCC Global will award several scholarships. Scholarship recipients will receive an award dependent upon the amount of funds available.  All students are encouraged to apply.

All applications and recommendation forms must be received by Amelia Martin, Student Support Manager/PCC Global Director, by Oct. 20, 2017.

All application requirements must be submitted by the due date in order to be considered for the scholarship. Late applications will not be accepted.

IETS Requirements

Students who are interested in applying for funding via the IETS must complete the scholarship application, including the narrative and share plan proposal, and turn it into Amelia Martin, Student Support Manager/PCC Global Director, Friday, October 20, 2017 at 5:00 pm. The application will include:

  • Completed applicant and program information
  • Narrative video url link OR written narrative essay
  • College and Community Share Plan Proposals
  • Two (2) recommendation forms from PCC Employees, one of which must be a current instructor
  • Signed and dated Certification Statement

Any student participant who is a recipient of the IETS must comply with all the rules of the scholarship application that include:

  • Attend Pitt Community College the semester of application and travel
  • Complete 12 credit hours at Pitt Community College by the time of travel
  • Have an overall GPA of 2.5 or better
  • Have no disciplinary action
  • Plan to attend a PCC approved study abroad program
  • Be 18 years of age or have written permission from legal guardian

Jane Keller Endowed Scholarship

Established in honor of Jane Keller, former member of the PCC faculty and co-founder of the PCC Abroad Program. Awarded to PCC students participating in the PCC Abroad Program.
