Transitional Studies Department

High School Equivalency (HSE, GED®)/ Adult High School Intake Sessions are generally held at 10:00 am or 3:00 pm on the 1st Tuesday and Thursday of each month, excluding May, June, and December.

English Language Acquisition (ELA) Orientation Sessions are typically held on the 1st Thursday at 5:00 pm and 1st Friday at 8:00 am of each month excluding May, June, and December.

Minors –  if you are under the age of 18 your parent/guardian will need to complete a Pitt Community College-Transitional Studies Minor Release Form. THIS FORM MUST BE NOTARIZED.

Students of Pitt County Schools – before you are scheduled for an Intake Session your parent/guardian will need to contact your school’s counselor to complete Form Students Services-27 Adult High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Petition & Referral Form and submit it to the Transitional Studies Department’s Assessment Coordinator, Mary Hopkins. In addition to the Pitt Community College-Transitional Studies Minor Release Form.        

 

Students from OUTSIDE of Pitt County Schools  – will need to complete the Pitt Community College-Transitional Studies Department Minor Applicant Withdrawal/Waiver Form, in addition to the Pitt Community College-Transitional Studies Minor Release Form.
