Addiction and Recovery Studies

The Social and Human Services – Addiction and Recovery Studies curriculum prepares students for entry-level positions in institutions and agencies which provide psychoeducational and community supports and services with a focus on wellness and recovery. Emphasis in core courses is placed on development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes relevant to addiction and recovery.

Graduates should qualify for positions in mental health, family services, social services, rehabilitation, corrections, and educational agencies. Graduates choosing to continue their education may select from a variety of transfer programs at senior public and private institutions.
