Submit Work to RBR

Reedy Branch Review publishes work from Pitt Community College students, faculty, staff, and anyone who supports the mission of the North Carolina community college system. RBR is published every spring.

Simultaneous submissions are permitted, but please email reedybranchreview@my.pittcc.edu if your work is accepted elsewhere. RBR does not require a fee for submission, and RBR cannot offer payment at this time for any work that is accepted. Reedy Branch Review acquires first publication rights of accepted work. All rights revert to the author upon publication. If republishing, we ask for acknowledgment of initial appearance in Reedy Branch Review. Submissions to more than one category are permitted. Previously published work should not be submitted.

Guidelines

Fiction 

RBR publishes short stories, flash fiction, or a selection from a longer work as long as the selection can stand alone. Works of 5000 words or fewer will be considered.
Accepted File Types: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or rich text (.rtf)

Poetry 

RBR publishes poems in any form and style. Please limit your submissions to four poems per reading period.

Creative Nonfiction 

RBR publishes creative nonfiction, such as personal narratives and memoirs to immersive journalism. Works of 5000 words or fewer will be considered.

Visual Art

RBR publishes any visual art medium that can be reproduced in a printed document. Please submit a high-quality photograph of your artwork.
