14-Week Late-Start Classes Begin Aug. 28

WINTERVILLE—Fall semester is underway at Pitt Community College, but enrollment opportunities remain for those interested in late-start classes.

Late-start classes offer the same instruction as courses that began Aug. 14 but in a tighter window. As a result, they require an extra measure of self-motivation and diligence for students to be successful.

The selection of late-start classes is wide-ranging, everything from “Digital Photography” to “Introduction to Sociology.” While some are specific to associate degree curricula, others can be transferred to many of North Carolina’s public and private four-year institutions.

Pitt’s 14-week courses get underway Aug. 28, and 12-week classes start Sept. 15. Eight-week courses begin Oct. 13, and all late-start classes run through Dec. 15.

New students enrolling in late-start courses must complete an admissions application and submit copies of their official high school transcripts to the PCC registrar. Current students may register from an approved student education plan or by contacting their academic advisors.
