Project Offers 'Real-World' Experience

PCC Architectural Technology students Hannah Roberts, Chris Birdsong, Harold Pierce and Ann Marie Coble, left to right, gained real-world experience during the spring semester while working on a project for the Friends of the N.C. Maritime Museum in Beaufort.

A group of PCC Architectural Technology students created designs this spring for a potential tourist attraction in the coastal town of Beaufort.

Barnhill Honored for Service to College

PCC administrators took a moment during graduation to honor Kelly Barnhill Jr., who served for more than nine years on the college’s Board of Trustees.

Baseball Program to Hold Tryouts June 17

PCC baseball tryouts will take place June 17 at Minges-Overton Baseball Complex.

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College baseball program will hold a tryout for unsigned high school seniors at Minges-Overton Baseball Complex on June 17.

In order to participate, players must show proof of having completed a physical within the past year. No player will be permitted to take part in the tryout without it.

The pro-style workout will begin at 10:30 a.m. for position players and include the following: 60-yard dash, infield/outfield from positions, and batting practice. Pitchers will throw at least 30 each in a bullpen setting, starting at 12:30 p.m.
