PCC Honors Academic Excellence

PCC presented Academic Excellence Awards to 52 students this year in recognition of classroom achievement and volunteerism.
Pitt Community College presented Academic Excellence Awards to top students last month for excellence in the classroom, on campus and in the community.

'Accelerating the Future' a Success

The PCC Foundation's inaugural "Accelerating the Future" fundraiser took place in the college's three state-of-the-art automotive training shops.

A large attendance and positive response had organizers of the PCC Foundation’s “Accelerating the Future” fundraiser celebrating like they were in victory lane last month.

The Pitt Community College Insight monthly video series highlights key programs at the college making a huge impact in students and the community. The January 2014 edition highlights PCC's Way to Success program and how valuable having a mentor on campus can be. Plus, we take a look at a new initiative to get advisors connected to their students "socially" through technology with "Get Social".

Softball to Host Region X Championship

WINTERVILLE—For the first time since 2010, Pitt Community College will host the Region X Conference Softball Championship.

The tournament will take place April 24-26 at Winterville Recreation Park on Sylvania Street. While the teams must still be determined, the first game is set for 11 a.m.

In addition to PCC (15-7 overall, 4-2 Region X), teams from Spartanburg Methodist College, USC-Sumter, Louisburg College, USC-Salkehatchie and Harford Community College will compete for the 2015 Region X title.
