PCC, County Announce $2 Million-Grant

PCC administrators joined Pitt County officials in January to announce a $2 million-EDA grant that will help the college build a new science and technology training center.

Two Students Win MAC Scholarships

During the 3rd Annual Martin Luther King Scholarship Breakfast, the PCC Multicultural Activities Committee presented scholarships to students Alex Robol and Alyssa Comer.

Katelynn James Hired as Volleyball Coach

WINTERVILLE—With spring practice set to begin next week in preparation for the 2015 season, Pitt Community College has named Katelynn James its new head volleyball coach.

James, a native of Jackson, Mo., replaces Caitlin Wooten, who resigned as coach following the 2014 campaign. She inherits a program that has gone 16-39 over the past two seasons.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to coach at Pitt Community College and push this program as far as it can go," James said. "I have a strong passion for the game of volleyball and look forward to the challenges that coaching the sport I love will bring."
