PCC Seeking Input from Ayden and Bethel with Regard to Programming and Services

WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College has scheduled forums in Ayden and Bethel this month to garner public opinion regarding the types of programs, resources and services residents would like to see the college offer.

Sara Singleton, PCC Director of Off-Campus Programs and Evening/Weekend College, says the first “listening session” will be held March 13 at 6 p.m. in the Media Center at Ayden-Grifton High School. The second, she said, will take place March 15 in the Bethel School Media Center at 5:30 p.m., and the third is set for March 26 at 10 a.m. in the Ayden Arts and Recreation Building.

“The goal of these sessions is to give Ayden and Bethel residents opportunities to tell the college how we can better serve their communities, both on the local level and, in a larger sense, through economic development and community engagement efforts,” Singleton said. “We encourage all citizens to come out and share their thoughts on community needs, programs they would be interested in, and any other information they feel would assist PCC in better serving them.”

In addition to the listening sessions, Singleton says online surveys are available for residents of Ayden and Bethel who would prefer to share their feedback privately.
