Spring Plant Sale Taking Place All This Month

In addition to a variety of hanging baskets, the PCC Horticulture Technology program's spring plant sale features geraniums of various colors and varieties, vegetable plants and herbs, perennial and annual bedding plants, and several varieties of trees and shrubs.

WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Horticulture Technology program is holding its annual spring plant sale throughout April.

The sale, which is open to the general public, takes place weekdays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the PCC greenhouse, which is located on Spaulding Street on the college’s main campus in Winterville. A special Saturday sale is scheduled for April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We have some new things in our collection this year,” said PCC Horticulture Technology Curriculum Coordinator Jerry Pittman. “Along with our mixed planters, various hanging baskets, and perennial and annual bedding plants, we have added a woody plant nursery to include several varieties of trees and shrubs.”
