PCC Foundation Spring Fundraiser to Offer Attendees ‘A Taste of Mardi Gras’ Feb. 24
WINTERVILLE—After two years of ‘accelerating the future,’ the Pitt Community College Foundation is changing gears with its annual spring fundraiser and will offer PCC supporters “A Taste of Mardi Gras” next month.
According to PCC Event Specialist Erin Greenleaf, the PCC Foundation is putting the finishing touches on a fun-filled event that features a casual atmosphere and fine New Orleans cuisine – all for the benefit of Pitt students. Presented by the PCC Foundation and BarbourHendrick, it will take place Feb. 24, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Rock Springs Center in Greenville.
“Though we had a great time bringing supporters to campus to see our instructional facilities while enjoying a night of entertainment and classic cars, we wanted to try something new this year,” Greenleaf said. “Change is always a good thing, so we decided to try something different and see if it entices even more people to come out and support our students.”
Greenleaf says “A Taste of Mardi Gras” will include a dinner buffet, live music, games and casual attire. She pointed out that guests are not required to wear masks and costumes.
A silent auction will also be part of next month’s fundraiser. Greenleaf says items will be displayed at www.pittcc17.gesture.com and open for bidding as early as Feb. 20. She added that attendance is not required to participate in the silent auction.
Tickets to next month’s fundraiser are $75 each and can be purchased by visiting www.pittcc.edu and clicking the “Shop Now” button or by calling (252) 493-7287.
Greenleaf says $1,250- and $2,500-event sponsorships are still available and noted that the PCC Foundation will use proceeds from “A Taste of Mardi Gras” to fund student scholarships and educational activities at the college.
