'Farmville Business Before Hours' Is Feb. 1

PCC Farmville Center Will Host Event for Area Business Owners

FARMVILLE—The Pitt Community College Farmville Center will host an event for area business owners next month as a means of introducing them to the educational programming offered by the college in its effort to help prepare a skilled local workforce.

“Farmville Business Before Hours” will take place Feb. 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The program will include refreshments, door prizes and tours of the PCC Farmville Center, which opened a year ago in the former Bank of America Building on Main Street.

“Our goal is to show the Farmville business community that PCC is here to serve their unique needs,” said PCC Career Outreach Specialist Rachel Bridgers. “The PCC Farmville Center can support business owners in a variety of ways, including curriculum programs, customized training and recruitment services."

Though the event is free, those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by contacting Bridgers at (252) 493-7819 or rbridgers@email.pittcc.edu by Jan. 30.
