Two Students Receive PCECA Scholarships

PCECA representatives Jimmy and Mike Benson (front row, left and right, respectively) visited PCC this month to present scholarships to students Will Davis (front row, second from left) and Allen Warren (front row, third from left). On hand for the presentation were PCC Electrical Systems Technology instructors Joseph Strickland and Dennis Marshall (back row, left and right, respectively).

WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College Electrical Systems Technology students Will Davis and Allen Warren have been awarded scholarships by the Pitt County Electrical Contractors Association (PCECA).

Davis and Warren, both Greenville residents, received $500 each from PCECA in recognition of their academic excellence and outstanding practical skills. The awards come through the association’s John Payne Electrical Scholarship Fund, which was established to honor a former Pitt County electrical inspector and encourage individuals to pursue careers in the electrical trade.

Davis and Warren will begin their second year of the Electrical Systems Technology curriculum this fall. Their scholarships will help pay for their educational expenses in their final semesters at Pitt.

PCECA representatives Jimmy Benson and Mike Benson visited PCC July 21 to present Davis and Warren with their scholarships.
