Registration for the 2014 Fall Semester Resumes for Continuing Students June 2
WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College students planning to take fall classes can begin signing up for them Monday morning, when the college re-opens registration for continuing students.
Joanne Ceres, PCC director of enrollment management/registrar, said the registration period that begins next week will continue through July 30. She pointed out that the earlier students register, the better their chances of getting the classes they want at the times they want them.
“This is not a ‘Priority Registration’ period, which means all students with at least one credit hour can register during this time,” Ceres said. “It is important to note that the longer students wait to register for fall classes, the fewer classes that will be available.”
Ceres said continuing students can begin registering for the fall at 4 a.m. Monday through their online myPittCC accounts. Starting June 2, she said, academic advisors will be available to provide personal registration assistance to students at dates and times listed on the PCC website.
Because students who sign up for the fall semester do not have to pay for those courses until July 22, Ceres stressed that there is no reason for them to wait to register.
“We have new students who will begin registering for the fall semester on June 23, so it truly is in the best interest of our returning students to register as early as possible,” she said.
Fall semester classes at PCC begin Aug. 15.
