Alumni Assoc. Launches Online Community
PCC 360Alumni Site a Chance for Former Bulldogs to Reconnect
WINTERVILLE—The Pitt Community College Alumni Association launched an online community this fall intended to help former PCC students and graduates reconnect with each other and support their alma mater.
According to PCC Alumni Relations Director Ashley Smith, Pitt has more than 300,000 alumni. She pointed out that the college considers anyone who has taken at least one continuing education or curriculum class to be an alum.
“The online alumni community gives our alumni a better way to reconnect with each other, whether they’re here in Pitt County or far away,” Smith said.
Powered by 360Alumni, PCC’s new online alumni community was launched in November. Smith says the site is free for former Bulldogs, who can simply visit pcc.360Alumni.com and sign up.
Once registered, members can read the latest PCC headlines and view upcoming events. They’ll also find information on fundraising campaigns taking place at the college and have access to a searchable map that shows where other registered alumni are living across the nation.
In addition to alumni groups, which can focus on a specific shared interest, Smith says the website allows users to create events, such as alumni meet-and-greets.
She noted that the online community also includes a job section that lists available employment opportunities and links to apply for them.
“We want alums to feel proud that they attended PCC and give back, whether that is volunteering or monetary donations,” Smith said. “… Our new online alumni community is a way they can do that.”
