‘Dancing with the PCC Stars’ Tickets on Sale

Purchase Tickets Online

WINTERVILLE—Tickets for the Pitt Community College Foundation’s new “Dancing with the PCC Stars” fundraiser are now available and will remain on sale through Feb. 8.

Sponsored by The Clement Companies, the event will take place March 7 at Greenville’s Rock Springs Center and feature a dance competition, silent auction, dinner and cash bar.

“We thought this program would be something interesting and exciting that the community could get behind,” said PCC Foundation Development Director Lynne James. “It’s a full evening of entertainment, and I hope people will come out and support it.”

James said the dance competition would feature performances by seven teams from the community. Scheduled to participate are PCC President G. Dennis Massey, WNCT’s Andrea Blanford and Alex Freedman, WRNS Radio’s Carletta Blake, Pitt County Clerk of Superior Court Sara Beth Fulford Rhodes, PCC Trustee Randy Collier, local businesswoman Jenni K and her husband, Dr. Bill Bogey, and a public safety team that includes Connie Elks (wife of Pitt County Sheriff Neil Elks) and newly-appointed District Attorney Kimberly Robb.

James said Massey’s wife, Chikako, is helping some of the dancers prepare for the competition. She added that those who attend “Dancing with the PCC Stars” will be asked to cast votes for their favorite dance teams on the night of the competition.

Members of the general public will also be able to vote for their favorite dance teams online. Votes cost $10 each, and there will be no voting limit.

Tickets for “Dancing with the PCC Stars” can be purchased online and through the PCC Foundation by calling (252) 493-7287. Individual tickets are $65 (a $30 tax-deductible donation) and allow the ticketholder to cast one vote for his or her favorite dance team. A table of eight costs $600 and includes 16 votes.
James says additional sponsorship opportunities are available by calling (252) 493-7773.

Proceeds from “Dancing with the PCC Stars” will be used to fund student scholarships and educational activities at the college.
