New PCC Foundation Endowed Scholarship Created in Memory of James Langston

James LangstonWINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College Foundation officials announced this month that family and friends of James E. Langston have established an endowed scholarship in his memory.

Langston, a Winterville native, was the owner of Winterville Insurance for many years. Prior to his death in September, he was actively involved with many organizations and activities that support youth in the Winterville community.

According to Susan Nobles, PCC vice president of Institutional Advancement and executive director of the PCC Foundation, the scholarship created in Langston’s memory will support educational opportunities for PCC students.

“James and his wife, Betty, have actively supported various efforts to provide scholarship funds for Pitt Community College students,” Nobles said. “We invite others to contribute to the James Langston Memorial Endowed Scholarship as a special tribute to James and to help continue his legacy of support for PCC students.”

Nobles said contributions to the Langston Scholarship may be made to the PCC Foundation at P.O. Box 7007, Greenville, NC 27835 or by choosing the “Give Now” option on the PCC website, www.pittcc.edu.

For additional details on how to contribute to the scholarship, contact Nobles at (252) 493-7287.
