PCC to Salute Nation's Veterans Nov. 12
WINTERVILLE—Col. Tim Wiseman, assistant vice chancellor for Enterprise Risk Management at East Carolina University, will be the featured speaker Nov. 12, when Pitt Community College holds its annual Veterans Salute.
Wiseman, who joined ECU’s administration in 2009, served in the Army for more than 25 years as a finance corps officer and resource manager. His military career included oversight of management control programs, the use of composite risk management models and leading organizational transformation.
While in the Army, Wiseman commanded at every level up to and including brigade. He served in numerous locations stateside and abroad, including three separate tours with the XVIII Airborne Corps and U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg.
Prior to joining ECU, Wiseman was chief of staff for the Army’s Cadet Command headquarters at Fort Monroe (Va.), which is responsible for directing operations for Army ROTC programs at more than 273 universities.
This month’s Veterans Salute at PCC will be the fifteenth the college has held to honor the nation’s military personnel, past and present. The event will begin at 9 a.m. in the Craig F. Goess Student Center multipurpose room. It is open to the public.
