Prosser to Conduct Smart Spending Workshop
WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College’s Continuing Education Division will host a “Smart Spending Workshop” Nov. 10 designed to show participants how they can reduce the cost of their grocery expenses.
Faye Prosser, WRAL’s Smart Shopper and author of “The Smart Spending Guide,” will be the program’s featured speaker. She conducted a similar workshop at PCC in May that drew more than 80 participants.
Prosser will touch on a variety of topics during next month’s presentation, including how shoppers can effectively use coupons for items they normally purchase, use weekly sales ads in conjunction with coupons, understand store coupon and sale policies for area stores, and use drug store rebates for great deals. She will also show attendees how to develop an easy-to-follow weekly meal plan the family will love.
Prosser’s Smart Spending System has been featured by numerous media outlets, including WRAL, The Raleigh News & Observer, and Good Housekeeping.
Prosser’s workshop at PCC costs $15 to attend and will take place on the college’s main campus in room 145 of the Raymond Reddrick Building, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Those planning to attend must register in advance.
