Early Alert: Retention and Student Success
Referral Form here.
Pitt Community College is committed to providing assistance to students to help them achieve their educational goals. The Early Alert Program is designed to identify students who are having difficulty at any point during the semester. Once identified, the referral to Early Alert will link the student with an Early Alert Coach who can provide timely feedback and initiate measures to increase the likelihood of the student's success. While strong efforts are made to provide intervention within the first six to eight weeks of the semester, a student may be referred at any time.
PCC’s Early Alert program is based on the premise that all stakeholders (faculty, staff, administrators, and counselors) are working together as a team in an involved, proactive and supportive manner to increase student retention and success. Early Alert works to enhance the experience of PCC’s faculty and students. It is not intended to replace the necessity of faculty/student interaction. It is designed to be used when additional resources are needed after faculty intervention.
