Wilson Powers PCC to Second Straight Win

Darren WilsonWINTERVILLE--Pitt Community College earned its second win in a row by beating Johnston Community College Feb. 12, 75-63.

PCC took a 21-9 lead early in the ball game. Johnston edged closer by halftime but still trailed the Bulldogs by three at 34-31.

JCC closed to within a point during the second half, but PCC used great teamwork to come out on top. The Bulldogs passed well, hit the boards and shot 70 percent from the free-throw line.

Freshman forward Darren Wilson led Pitt with 30 points and 10 boards. Chuckie Becton added 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Terrance Drakeford scored 14 points.
