FMLA Training for Supervisors

It is important for all supervisors to understand and apply FMLA provisions and the college’s policy. This training session will familiarize participants with the provisions of FMLA, including appropriate time lines for processing FMLA requests. At the end of the session participants should understand the purpose and benefits of FMLA, recognize when and to whom it applies, understand key provisions and understand the procedures for handling leaves appropriately.

General Search Committee Training

Attracting, hiring, and retaining an excellent and diverse faculty and staff is a top priority for colleges nationwide. PCC utilizes a search committee for the hiring process to help ensure consistent and equal employment in hiring decisions to hire the “best” candidate for the position. This training session is open to any faculty or staff member and will allow you to participate in the search committee process. During this session you will learn about your part in the process, legalities of the interview process, and about behavioral based interviewing.
