Beginning students may begin the program in the fall or spring semester only. Registration is limited to 36 students. Registration will be held in the Greenville Center (3107 S. Memorial Drive). New students may register beginning on Tuesday, December 3rd in room 301 at 8:00 a.m.
Tuition and Other Costs
Tuition is $186.25 per semester. The program can be completed in three semesters with satisfactory attendance. Students will also need to purchase a cosmetology kit (approximately $800), uniforms (black scrubs), and textbooks (approximately $310) for the cosmetology program.
Classes are held on Tuesdays through Saturdays. Class hours vary by semester but generally are scheduled from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Friday and begin at 8:00 am on Saturday.
Office hours for cosmetology advising are Monday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and Thursday 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
Students must be high school graduates. All students must take the Math and English/reading placement tests, administered in the Warren Building, room 2402. Call 252-493-7561 for hours of operation.
Transfer students should provide a copy of their skills and hours transcript from their former cosmetology program. This skills and hours transcript must be approved to receive credit for those hours and advance in the PCC program.
Employment is available in beauty salons an as skin/nail specialists, platform artists, and related businesses.
Financial aid is not available as this is a non-credit program.
