Cosmetology
Registration
Beginning students may begin the program in the fall or spring semester only. Fall 2013 registration for new students is on August 1, 2013 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Registration is limited to 30 students. Registration will be held in the Greenville Center (3107 S. Memorial Drive) in room 301.
Registration for returning students will be held on May 1, 2013 from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.
Advising
Office hours for cosmetology advising are Monday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and Thursday 3:00 pm – 5:00pm.
Admissions
Students must be high school graduates. All students must complete a PCC application for admission. Transcripts of all high school and college work completed must be submitted to the college. All students must take the Placement Test. Office is located in the Warren Building, room 2402. 252-493-7561.
Transfer Students
Transfer students should provide a copy of their skills and hours transcript from their former cosmetology program. This skills and hours transcript must be approved to receive credit for those hours and advance in the PCC program.
Career Opportunities
Employment is available in beauty salons an as skin/nail specialists, platform artists, and related businesses.
