Note 1: Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomy testing is offered strictly on a walk-in basis on Fridays from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM (the last test must begin no later than 1:00 PM). All students are required to show a photo ID in order to test. The Placement Testing Center is located on PCC's campus in the Warren Building, Room 2402. Before scheduling test, please see Healthcare Programs at the Greenville Center (3107 S. Memorial Drive) to receive required testing documentation.
Note 2: Nursing Assistant II requires a criminal background check specifically from www.castlebranch.com. The cost for N.C. residents is $34.75 and non-residents is $59.75. N.C. residents should use code pi06 and out of state students should use code pi06os when registering with Castle Branch. The drug-screening test will be paid for via the website www.castlebranch.com at a cost of $32.00 for each student. Students should use code pi06dt for the drug-screening test. Once the drug-screen is paid for via the website, print the form and take to your local LabCorp for specimen collection. The clinical dates & times will vary and will be assigned by the course instructor. If you fail to complete the criminal background (have certain crimes and/or pending cases) and if you fail to complete the drug screening, you may be denied admission to required clinical sites and you will not receive a refund. If you have any questions regarding the criminal background requirement, please call (252) 493-7225. The date to complete the criminal background check and drug screening will be announced to you in class by the instructor.
Note 3: Phlebotomy – The Phlebotomy course requires a criminal background check and drug screening. Criminal background checks and screening will be completed via www.castlebranch.com. Credentia (NAI Certification Test Fee): $101.00 payable at the end of the NA I course to Pearson Vue. Board of Nursing NA II Fee: $24.00 payable at the end of the NA II course. Students must pay fee within 30 days of course completion.
Mandatory Uniform and Supply List for NA I and NA II:
Uniform must be royal blue top with white PCC logo on right side, royal blue pants, and white or black shoes with enclosed front (no foam crocs).
Other Items:
White or black hose or socks, watch with a second hand, pocket-size notepad, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, black ink pen, transfer/gait belt.
